Ｔhis month it was New Year in Sri Lanka.
People get ready by 1pm, have a bath, and prepare to receive the New Year during the evening of the 13th.
They celebrate by eating rice cooked in coconuts milk. I suppose it's like the Osechi food we eat here in Japan.
In Sri Lanka, New Year is a different day every year, it's not on the first of January like in Japan.
It's very interesting to see how different cultures do things differently.
今月は、スリランカはお正月でした。
午後１時くらいまでに用事を済ませて、お風呂に入って１３日の
夜に訪れる正月を迎えるそうです。
年が明けると、ココナッツミルクで炊いたご飯を食べるようです。
日本の”おせち”料理のようなものでしょうか？
お正月は日本のように１月１日と毎年決まってるのではなく、年によって変わる
ようです。
