京都丸山公園の”夜桜”
沢山の外国の方で驚きました。丸山公園の桜は今週が満開かも・・・。
会話の上手なインドの方に楽しませて頂きました。

Evening Cherry Blossoms at the Maruyama Park in Kyoto.
I was surprised at how many foreigners there were.
I had a chat with a person from India who was a fluent speaker.

３月２７日[空手交流試合] ５名が参加しました。楯、メダルを首にかけて・・記念撮影。
そして陽介君（小１）の後ろ回し蹴りがヒット。みんな歯を食いしばり良く頑張ってくれました。
少し成長への貯金が出来たと思います。
来年も挑戦するそうです。また、頑張りましょう！

We had 5 participants from our school. They are proudly carrying their medals and awards.
Let's do it again next year.
そして陽介君（小１）の後ろ回し蹴りがヒット。みんな歯を食いしばり良く頑張ってくれました。
少し成長への貯金が出来たと思います。
来年も挑戦するそうです。また、頑張りましょう！

昨日、長岡道場の稽古で「りょうこちゃん」（７歳）より

Yesterday I received a birthday present from Ryoko (7 years old) at the Nagaokadojo karate class.
On the 21st of every month, lots of people gather at the Toji Temple (Guhosan).
This monthly market exists since 1239, offering plenty of street stalls to satisfy the eye, the heart, and the stomach!
毎月２１日は”弘法さん”で京都の東寺は多くの人で賑わいます。
１２３９年から毎月行われているようですが、沢山の露店が出ていて
目も心もお腹も満足させてくれます。

合同練習
３月１３日（日）内田塾の合同練習会へ３道場より６名参加させて頂きました。
いつも試合のための組手を主に指導してませんので、子供達のとって
未知の世界だったと思います。
鼻血を出し手から血が出て、また、泣きながらも最後まで諦めることなく
頑張って練習を終えました。
大きく成長をした１日になったと思います。
次も、頑張っていきましょう！お疲れ様でした。

We don't always train for paired karate katas, and I think that this was a unique experience for the kids.
We saw some nose bleeding, some hands getting hurt, some participants could not finish the practice and ended up in tears, but we all did our best.
Kids grew up a lot on this one day.
Let's keep working hard, well done!

居合道大会
３月１２日(土）北九州居合道大会へ行ってきました。
北海道から沖縄まで約１１００名が参加した大会です
Iaido Competition
I participated at the Kitakyushu Iaido Competition on the 12th of March (Saturday).
There were 1.100 participants from all over Japan, from Sapporo to Okinawa.
Level Test (Iai)
There were level tests at the Budoukan（Butokuden), the holy grounds of Martial Arts in Kyoto.
One can feel the Japanese history in this building, it's a very nice feeling.
Our 3 students at Sanpakukan all passed their Shodan level.
Congratulations!
昇段審査（居合）
武道の聖地と言われる”武徳殿”（京都）で居合いの昇段審査がありました。
この武徳殿は歴史を感じさせてくれまた、気持を落ち着かせてくれる場所です。
三柏館は３名の初段が誕生しました。おめでとう！
